Eula Biss

Eula Biss is the author of four books: Having and Being Had (Riverhead, 2020); On Immunity: An Inoculation (Graywolf, 2014); Notes From No Man’s Land: American Essays, which received the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize and a 2010 National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism; and The Balloonists. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim and Howard foundations and the National Endowment for the Arts. She holds a B.A. in nonfiction writing from Hampshire College and a M.F.A. in nonfiction writing from the University of Iowa. Her essays have recently appeared in The Believer, Harper's, and The New York Times Magazine.
