Michele Morano

Michele Morano is the author of two collections of essays: Grammar Lessons: Translating a Life in Spain (University of Iowa Press, 2007) and Like Love (Mad Creek Books, 2020). Her work has also appeared in Best American Essays, Fourth Genre, The Normal School, Brevity, and The Georgia Review among others. She is the recipient of a MacDowell fellowship and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council. She received her M.F.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. She is a professor of English at DePaul University and lives in Chicago.
