Averill Curdy's debut poetry collection, Song & Error, was published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux in 2014. She earned her M.F.A. at the University of Houston and her Ph.D. at the University of Missouri. Her poems and translations have appeared in Poetry, The Paris Review, Partisan Review, Slate, Western Humanities Review, and Prairie Schooner, among others. Averill is the recipient of a 2006 Pushcart Prize and fellowships from the NEA and the Illinois Council for the Arts. She is a professor of instruction in the English department at Northwestern.
