Rivka Galchen

Galchen is the author of three books: Atmospheric Disturbances (FSG, 2008), American Innovations (FSG, 2014), and Little Labors (New Directions, 2016). In 2010, she was named to The New Yorker's list of 20 Writers Under 40. She is now a regular contributor of fiction, journalism and essays to The New Yorker, Harper's, The London Review of Books, and The New York Times. She has received numerous prizes and fellowships, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Berlin Prize, and a Fellowship at the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers. Her chapter book for children, Rat Rule 79, will be published this September by Restless Books.
