Vievee Francis

Vievee Francis was born in West Texas.  She received the 2010 Caven Canem Northwestern Poetry Prize for her collection Horse in the Dark (Northwestern University Press, 2011) and the 2017 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award for her third collection, Forest Primeval (Northwestern University Press, 2016). Her fourth collection, The Shared World, was published by Triquarterly Books in April 2023. She is an Associate Professor of English at Dartmouth College and a recipient of the 2021 Aiken Taylor Award.
