Kristin Dombek is the author The Selfishness of Others: An Essay on the Fear of Narcissism (FSG, 2016). Her second book, How to Quit, is forthcoming. Her essays have been published in The New Yorker, Vice, The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, London Review of Books, n+1, and The Paris Review, and anthologized in Best American Essays and elsewhere. She has been a recipient of fellowships from MacDowell, Imitatio, and the n+1 Foundation. Dombek has taught the craft of essay, memoir, journalism, and rhetoric in the MFA program at Queens College/CUNY and in the Princeton Writing Program. She currently teaches creative nonfiction in the low-residency Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing Program at Queen’s University of Charlotte.
