Olivia Clare

Olivia Clare (Friedman) is the author of a short story collection, Disasters in the First World, from Grove Atlantic. Her novel, Here Lies, is forthcoming from Grove in 2022. She is also the author of a book of poems, The 26-Hour Day (New Issues, 2015). Her other awards include an O. Henry Prize, the Olive B. O’Connor Fellowship, a Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, and fellowships from the Tin House Writers' Workshop, MacDowell Colony, and Vermont Studio Center. Her stories have appeared in Granta, The American Scholar, Southern Review, n+1, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere. She is an Assistant Professor of English, Creative Writing, at the University of Southern Mississippi.
